Herbal CandiesCan anything be considered a better herbal remedy for a child than a herbal candy? Every mom will say that it is much easier to make a child eat a candy than a pill or an extract. Another important advantage of herbal candies is the opportunity to create a custom formula and add to such candies everything your child likes: raisins, honey, nuts, sunflower seeds, coconut powder, dried fruit and so on. Herbal candies can be a great solution for all mums whose children refuse taking other types of herbal remedies or herbal preparations.

Generally speaking, the technology of preparing herbal candies involves mixing three main groups of ingredients. The first one are the main ingredients like dried fruit, nuts, seeds, cocoa powder and everything your child likes eating (processed in a grinder or other food processor). Second group of ingredients includes all herbal powders or several drops of herbal extracts which you intend to benefit from. And finally, the last group of ingredients includes all astringent substances like honey, cacao paste, high quality organic jam, maple cream or syrup, other types of syrups, which are meant to keep your herbal candies together.

So, basically what you need to do is to mix carefully the fist and the second group of the ingredients, then add the astringent substance and stir again until it is very well blended. You can make a little walnut size candies, or you can just make a cylindrical shape roll and cut small pieces of desired length and shape. In order to make lollipops, you can use small wooden sticks. Coat your candies in sugar powder, cocoa powder, cacao or any other appropriate type of coating. If you wish, you can wrap them up into pieces of paper, and place to deep freeze for 30-60 minutes.
