We spend 5 days a week sitting at our office tables and hardly doing anything else. In such situation, it is extremely important to maintain healthy work environment and at least do everything possible for creating a healthy office environment. Below, there are effective tips on that.

1. healthy office environmentEvery 30 minutes, look away from your computer screen. The best way is looking at the window. Also, use every opportunity to print out your docs and texts and read them from the paper.

2. Do physical exercises. If it is possible, avoid using elevators and use steps instead. Rise from your table for any reason. Change your position and do stretches while you are sitting.

3. Avoid dust. This is very important for those who want to create healthy office environment. Scores of documents, files, newspapers and other things on your table collect huge amounts of dust. This means – bacterias, asthma and allergies.

4. Use landline phone instead of your cell phone. This way you can avoid lots of harmful radiation.

5. Avoid having bites every hour. If it turns out to be hard for you, eat healthy foods like dried fruit, low fat yogurts, veggies, etc.

6. Drink freshly squeezed juice instead of coffee. If you are convinced that coffee can wake you up, it means you have never tried grapefruit juice. Eat tangerines and oranges instead of drinking 5 cups of coffee a day.

7. healthy work environmentChoose a good and comfortable chair. It is very very important for those, who sit at their tables all day long. Comfortable chair can protect your spine from possible serious problems, and if you do not have a comfortable chair, use an orthopedic pillow.

8. Keep the temperature at your working place under control. Healthy working environment means that it is not too warm or too cold at your workplace. Excessive cold does not allow you focus, and excessive warmth can make you feel sleepy and too much relaxed.

9. Go out when you have a chance. Try to find reasons for a walk, whether it is going out for a lunch, or going out to buy some stationary for the office.

10. Avoid eating too big lunch. It is more healthy to have several bites during your working day, and even if you are very hungry, avoid eating a lot. Too big meals cause sleepiness and increased irritability, therefore light snacks are preferable.

11. Remove your shoes with high heels, when you have a chance. If you have to use high heel shoes, try to remove them when you have an opportunity as it is hard and harmful to use such shoes day by day.
