Stresses affect our physical and psychological health greatly, despite the fact that light stresses are considered to be useful and stimulating. However, all stresses cause negative reactions in our body, that is why we need to know how to manage stresses effectively. There are passive and active stress management techniques, and below you can find some very good ones which can help almost everyone to combat the effects of stresses.
1. Physical activities and exercises. These stress management techniques can work for those people, who enjoy extreme sports and can really relax only when they are feeling adrenalin rushes in their blood. This method is very effective, but sometimes it can be a little expensive – for the most demanding personalities.
2. Passive techniques like reading, watching a comedy or a sitcom, and so on. This stress management technique can work for sensitive and lazy people, who do not find it great to hang around or exercise in order to calm down. Therefore, the best way for such people to fight against stresses is making their mind busy with something else: a book, a movie and so on.
3. Putting together a jigsaw puzzle. This is a great passive technique which works great, but you should remember to choose not too hard and large puzzle in order not to create additional stresses.
4. Learning a new hobby. This can be everything: knitting, painting, woodworking, embroidery and so on.
5. Visiting a friend. It is supposed that staying away from people while you are stressed out can cause more stresses. That is why it is recommended to see people and talk to them, even if you are a kind of unsocial. You can hear not only the words of support and sympathy, but also get to know new ideas and perspectives on your particular situation.
