When thinking about an effective weight management program, losing some pounds and having a great body, a lot of us keep asking the same question over and over again: what can be more effective, dieting or doing lots of physical activities? Certainly, we all know that physical exercises and healthy nutrition should go together as the most efficient and healthy way to reduce weight. However, for the majority of people who have extra weight this can be possible only in an ideal world and combining diet and exercise sometimes can be very hard to do.

Diet and ExerciseYes: in an ideal world we can visit gym 3 times a week, do walking or jogging for 30 minutes every day, eat freshly cooked low-caloric diet and shed the pounds in the most healthy way. But, unfortunately, when we come back to earth, we see that in the real world everything is much more complicated. Our daily routine, our work life, the problems of our friends and children, our chores and so on, do not give us a chance to make an ideal scenario come true. Thus, sometimes we have to make a choice and decide, what can work best: a diet or exercise?

Definitely, a healthy low-calorie diet helps to reduce weight more effectively. It is usually easier to hold yourself from eating a bar of chocolate every day than finding some time for daily 2-mile jogging or walking. At the same time, both giving up eating a bar of chocolate and doing a 2-mile jogging can help us lose 300-350 calories. Therefore, it is usually easy to lower your daily calorie intake by using healthy diet recommendations. Just give up consuming sausages, cakes and soft drinks, and you’ll easily cut your daily calorie intake by 1000 calories. However, if you want to get rid of 1000 calories using exercise, you’ll have to go through 2.5 hour of cycling or 1.5 of skiing.

Diet and exerciseAt the same time, it is very important to keep in mind that regular physical activities and exercise have a number of benefits. Exercise helps us in speeding up fat burning and building muscles, and it also stimulates metabolism. Another very important role of exercise is supporting the results you could achieve by following a healthy diet plan and keeping your body in a good shape. When you have lost some amount of kilos, you’ll definitely want to relax and be back to eating the meals you like the most. On this stage, exercise is absolutely essential to support your body and avoid extra kilos stick back.

Therefore, in the context of any good weight management program, diet and exercise should not be considered two separated strategies. If by one or another reason it is really hard to combine these two effective weight management techniques, then you should try using them one after another, as two consequent stages of your weight management plan. Start your personal weight management program with controlling the consumption of fats, carbs and sugar. And then, when the desired results are achieved, keep your body and spirit in a good shape by regular exercising. Let both a healthy diet and exercise be your companions on the way to healthier and happier life.

There is no better way of abdominal fat loss than to eat balanced foods and a nutritious diet. Indulge yourself into activities that will allow you to sweat. Do cardio exercises or try running, jogging or walking. There are just so many things that you can do to encourage fat loss. Weight training has the ability to increase lean muscle mass as well as your metabolic rate. This means that you can burn fat even when you are resting. So now, try to look for activities that may encourage flatter abdomen!
