When talking about natural cancer protection, specialists believe that berries are among the most effective natural superfoods to prevent and slow down cancer cell growth. In particular, numerous researches have shown that the extracts of blackberries, raspberries and other similar type of berries can effectively assist us in slowing down the development of many types of cancerous formations, linked to oesophageal, cervical, breast, colon and other types of cancer. British experts reported about creating a new type of berries, Mac Black raspberry, which is supposed to be the best natural cancer protection.
Mac Black raspberries have recently gone on sale. Compared to traditional red raspberries, it has black color and very intense taste . The berry has increased amounts of natural components: antioxidants, anthocyanins and ellagic acid, allowing it to become ‘a king of the berries‘ for its amazing boosted health benefits. It is a known fact that natural antioxidants have very powerful rejuvenating and anti-cancer effects, which can be achieved by blocking the activities of free radicals, slowing down oxidation process and restoring damaged cells, or preventing their damage.
Mac Black raspberries were found in North America, brought to the UK and then modified by the experts from Hall Hunter, near Twyford, Berkshire, in such a way that the content of useful natural antixodiants has been increased drastically. According to the researches carried out at Ohio State University, using Mac Black raspberries in mice has helped to considerably decrease oesophageal tumors, and the same results were received as to colon cancer tumors reduction in rats. Clinical trials proving the effectiveness of black raspberries on humans are on their final stages.
‘Berries have had a lot of great publicity over the last few years because of their supposed great health qualities and since then we’ve seen demand rise each year,’ says James Waddy, one of the Mac Black raspberry breeders. For the moment, Mac Black raspberries are cultivated and produced only for Tesco company. ‘This year we have had perfect growing conditions with the warmest spring start for more than 20 years which has made the fruit especially juicy,’ James Waddy continues.
‘We think the Mac Black could become a future star among berries and one day may even be more popular than the traditional red variety,’ he says, however, it is very good to use usual black raspberries (Rubus leucodermis or Rubus occidentalis) for cancer protection, too. In particular, they can be found in the US, states like Oregon, Columbia, California and others, where the population can already enjoy amazing health benefits of these berries, including natural cancer protection.

why limit oneself to only “five healthiest superfoods”.
why at all? I’ve researched almost 400 phytonutrients that are in food and fight cancer. Many of which have been shown repeatedly in clinical studies to affect HUMAN cancers. I cant see eating only three or four or five foods because I think that they alone are superfoods. Not when there are so many effective and small easy changes that one can make.
I know. I have done the research. I have cancer.
